Postal Delivery Inspector

The role of Postal Inspector is to monitor, review and inspect the quality of work within an assigned team of Postal Delivery Operatives. Following inspection visits you will be required to complete comprehensive reports noting your observations and recommendations. You will work closely with the Operations Manager on ensuring best practice and driving continuous improvement across our Postal Delivery Network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompaniments with Postal Delivery Operatives to inspect quality of work and ensure processes are being adhered to
  • Completing Inspection Reports recording all observations against specific quality checks and reporting areas of non-adherence to Operations Manager
  • Reviewing Audit Reports and providing feedback to PDO
  • Mentoring new hires
  • Responsible for driving team performance and motivating team members
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager on all future planning
  • Report team performance to Operations Manager on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with HR on any escalated performance management issues
  • Ensuring good health & safety practice occurs on all routes and looking at potential hazards and appropriate preventions
  • Respond and act on complaints received from customers and or householders

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines in order to achieve set inspection visits
  • Proven ability to motivate a team of remote workers
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills are essential
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Strong report writing experience
